Function Short Description
Project workspace A project collaboration area for team related activities.
Issue Tracking The heart of the #define project supporting the entire application lifecycle process. All activities ranging from minor bug-changes to major assignments are managed by the issue tracker.
Order/Request Tracking The engine for all orders and assignments the client creates from the clients view PrimePortal. Using the ordertracker a dispatcher working in the IT-delivery organization responds and follows-up on client orders.
Version control (documents and source code) The file archive component in #define is managed by Subversion and Git. #define offers several views of Subversion: File archive on the web, Windows explorer or IDE (Visual Studio, Eclipse etc).
Wiki Integrated in the #define workspace, provides a rapid and efficient way of collaborating and distributing content.
Mailing lists Usually used as discussion board for different interest groups. A simple and powerful way to distribute and communicate project related information. All mails sent to a mailing list are stored in a mail archive and are always accessible as well as fully searchable.
Part of your overall Quality solution Continuous Integration and Code Quality Analysis can be integrated with #define's service as part of your project's overall Quality management solution.
Workflows Order/Request tracker
Totally dynamic and possible to adjust to fit the client or contract demands.

Today a set of standard workflows to support the software development process are provided. In future this will be extended with specific templates and workflows to support the most widely used development methodologies within CGI.
Fully Managed Delivered as a SaaS (Software as a Service). Application maintenance for #define as well as server, network and backup management are fully managed by CGI.
Security #define offers both basic and strong authentication (using file certificates).
Offshore support A slave server in India provides for good performance from offshore location. No need for setting up local SVN-reps or remote servers in India, same instance of #define could be used onshore and offshore.
Infrastructure #define is securely hosted on a redundant HA (High Availability) server cluster. The different nodes in the cluster are placed in geographically separated locations thus providing capabilities of a stretched cluster.
